Dec. 27, 2006. My husband and I went to see “Eragon” and we both were a little bored. He hated it and made fun of it the whole time. He was actually more entertaining than the movie was. I thought the dragon was cute and I think a kid who doesn’t mind a little violence would possibly like it. I think if you read the book you may enjoy this movie or if you are easily amused, like I am. However, the boy in it was pretty cute and some girls may like the movie just to see him.
The “Eragon” movie, based on Christopher Paolini’s popular book series. The storyline, which follows a young farm boy who discovers his destiny as a dragon rider, seemed promising but lacked the depth and excitement found in the books. While younger audiences might find the dragon and fantasy elements appealing, the movie’s pacing and lack of engagement could leave older viewers disappointed. If you’re a fan of the book series, you might appreciate seeing the characters brought to life on screen, but don’t expect the same magic and thrill that made the books a hit.
