Pixar & Disney’s Wall-e Movie – Movie Review

Jun 29, 2008. Our family went to see the movie WALL-E today and we all loved it. The theatre was packed! The movie was funny, exciting in parts, and sweet. WALL-E reminded me of ET. As always, we enjoyed the short Pixar cartoon before the show. The movie doesn’t paint a happy picture for Earth’s future. It begins in the year 2815 and Earth is completely devoid of life and covered with trash.  You will be treated to clips of WALL-E’s treasured videotape of the film Hello, Dolly! (he loves that movie). Peter Gabriel did a cool song for the credits at the end. We haven’t heard from him for awhile.  This is one of those movies that I’m sure we will go see more than once.

This movie would is great for people of all ages, but perhaps not all sizes. If you are obese and ‘sensitive about your weight’ you might possibly be offended.  Those of you that haven’t seen the movie are now asking, “Why?”. Those of you who have seen it are smiling as you remember the movie. I’ll say no more on that.

Last, but not least, It’s so nice to see a movie for kids that doesn’t have any swearing! It was pushed at the kids relentlessly on the TV and was actually appropriate for them to watch. How refreshing!
