Twilight by Stephenie Meyer: A Captivating Teen Love Story
Aug 31, 2008 It took me only two days to read the novel Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer. Translated into 20 languages, a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year, the book Twilight lives up to all this hype. It deserves a lot of praise. The novel was excellent and I couldn’t put it down. It is wonderful that a book like this became so popular to teens and people of all ages. It doesn’t have any ‘really bad stuff’ in it as far as sex goes. It’s very refreshing in that way. We can have memorable teen love story without sex and drugs! I knew it was possible! Ok, so there are vampires. That’s true, but it is a really great love story. I’m looking forward to the movie. The vampire, Edward, will be played by Robert Pattinson and Bella will is played by Kristen Steward. Robert Pattinson is the handsome guy who played Cedric in Harry Potter.
I really enjoyed the story on Stephenie Meyer’s website about her writing the book and getting it published. It is very inspiring. She got the idea for the story from a vivid dream. We’ve all had those at one time or other. I know I have. I highly recommend the book and I’m getting ready to read the next one in the series “New Moon”.
