How to Train Your Dragon – Parents Review

Jun 5, 2010  I took my kids to see this movie twice because we all really enjoyed it. It was great in 3D and very entertaining. It kept our interest through the entire movie. We enjoyed it so much, that we went and purchased the first four books in the series. We have been enjoying the books, as well. The books are very different from the movie, though. The names of the characters are about the only thing the movie and books have in common. Rated PG for sequences of intense action and some scary images, and brief mild language. In Theaters: March 26th, 2010. This movie got really good reviews from most movie critics.

The son of a Viking chief must capture a dragon in order to mark his passage into manhood and prove his worthiness to the tribe in directors Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois’ adaptation of Cressida Cowell’s popular children’s book. Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, and Christopher Mintz-Plasseprovide voices for the DreamWorks Animation production.
