2012 Best Family Read Aloud Books – Top Picks for Kids and Parents

Jan 4, 2012 I have two boys and when they were younger, we read aloud together every night. The following list of books are a few that we enjoyed together.  If it wasn’t for this practice of ‘family reading’, my youngest son would have never read the entire Harry Potter series two times already. Ha! He thought the Harry Potter books “probably weren’t very good” so I insisted we read the series together (because I knew different). It turns out he LOVED all seven books.
