Shoulder surgery diary, DAY 42
Here I am, six weeks after my shoulder surgery. The recovery is taking a lot longer than my left shoulder surgery, which was six months ago. My entire arm still hurts a lot (at night time especially). Every morning it is very stiff, but it seems to loosen up and feel better pretty quickly.
I got a new physical therapist this week, and he is much gentler than the last one. It’s weird, the last therapist (I like to refer to him as the physical therapist from hell) said I was behind on my range of motion and tried to get me caught up in a single one hour visit. He beat the heck out of my shoulder and it hurt terribly for about five days afterwards. My new therapist said everything was close enough. I don’t know what that other guy’s problem was. I really do think he just likes to torture people.
