Apr 19, 2008 We went to see Nim’s Island today and LOVED it. I highly recommend it. There were lots of laughs and an excellent story. I took two boys to see this movie age 9 and 11 and they didn’t even mind that the main character was a girl. My favorite parts of the movie were of Jodi Foster trying to get up the courage to leave her house. It was very entertaining! The kids liked the parts with all the different animals on the island and the dad’s behavior while lost at sea. Don’t hesitate to see this one! Nim’s Island, was first published in 1999. It was written by Wendy Orr and Illustrated by Kerry Millard
